The Foundation continued in its commitment to support and empower women and girls, visited the Widows and visually impaired women at the Ketu, Alapere area of Lagos state to join them in the celebration of the international women’s day.

During this visit, Aksara interacted with the women, ensuring they continue to feel an important part of the society as well as encouraging them to continue to play their part in the society without feeling discriminated or left out. The Foundation also implored them to use their individual and combined skills, creative talent and get opportunity to learn, and share experiences in competitive environment. As part of the Foundation effort to give back to the society, donations were also made to the groups to give them.
