Hardboard is called High Density Fiberboard (HDF). It’s a type of fiberboard that has been in existence for centuries. It’s made from fine wood fiber compressed under high level of heat and pressure. As a result of this, there is no need to use adhesives to hold the wood fibers together.  Compared to solid wood, hardboard is homogenous and as result of its hard density and strength, it is most commonly used panel in building, decoration, furniture making, doors, roofs and many more. The smooth finishing surface acts as an excellent base for painting finished products. It is also highly resistant to cracking and splitting. Hardboard is generally considered as an eco-friendly wood based panel, it is an extremely versatile and cost effective building material.
